Happy New Year!

I cant believe that 2011 is over! I'm looking forward to the new year and the opportunities that it will hopefully bring us. There have been so many great things happen in 2011, Devan got a new job, Nixon came to join our family, I got to do more performing and auditioned for something awesome! We have been truly blessed this past year.

2012 should also be a great year. We are currently house hunting just waiting to find the right one, so I'm super excited to finally get our own house.

I was chosen as an alternate on a team of 10 artists to compete, write, perform, and basically just get to do some really amazing things with music. So I'm working really hard to try and be accepted onto the team rather than as an alternate. This will make for some busy days. We are required to write everyday, take voice lessons, instrument lessons, songwriting lessons, exercise daily, and work really hard if we want to make it in the career of music. I love music so much and I have such a passion for it that I am going to put forth the time and effort to see what will happen! This will require some real balancing on my part to be able to also be the best Mom I can be.

I feel so blessed to be able to stay home with my beautiful baby boy everyday and watch him grow. Its been so much fun to see him change and watch him discover life. It helps me to remember the beautiful things that life has to offer everyday that we take for granted. I'm grateful to him for helping me remember whats truly important.

I hope everyone has a wonderful new year!

My project

So I have become a DIY person! I am obsessed with all of the fun things you can do, especially furniture. I'm still learning but I'm having a great time figuring it out. This cute little number was a nightstand that Devan made in high school and he destroyed it adding ugly stickers and junk. So we re-did it and i love how it turned out!

Wow am I terrible at updating my blog or what? I love to have it but I totally forget to update it on a more regular basis. So fall is here and it is my absolute FAVORITE time of the year (except for Christmas). Lots has happened this summer we have had many a fun adventures. Some camping trips, days in the canyon, I got to do some performing at county and the State fair, but the best part was getting to watch my cute baby Nixon grown and discover and get to be so big! He is giggling and smiling so much lately and he recently rolled over! Its so fun yet kind of sad that my baby is growing up. Other than that here at the hunt house we are doing good!

Just watching TV

He did not like his feet in the water, we are such mean parents we stuck his bare toes in the cold water and boy was he mad!

Just snoozing

Baby Nixon!

My Baby Boy NIXON DEVAN HUNT was born on May 29, 2011 at 10:33 pm. He is so perfect! We are so lucky to have him and so grateful he has come to join our little family! He came right on his due date. Due to Devan switching jobs we lost our insurance at the end of the month so they induced me that morning about 7:45 am. Needless to say it was an extremely long day waiting anxiously for his arrival and he took his sweet time to get here. It has been a fun week watching him grow and exploring the new world he came into. Watching his sweet little face as he sleeps and looks around at everything reminds me what a true miracle each and every little baby is! I'm sure grateful for my little miracle!

Maternity Pics!

I can hardly believe that we have 4 weeks to go! Time has gone by so fast and so soon we are going to have a little baby and be parents. As I look back, I think about what a miracle it really is to be pregnant and know that there is a child growing inside of me. Its so incredible to be able to feel that baby move inside of me, and know that there is a life in there that we created! However, I am ready to meet this little guy and see what he looks like (and give my poor ribs some relief!)

My good friend Tiffanie took these pics for me. She is learning photography and I thought she did a great job! I'm so excited to have them so I can remember this time (even though I feel like a whale haha)
